Uzbekistan and Norway Hold Political Consultations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The third round of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan and Norway took place in Tashkent on 1 July 2026. The delegation of Uzbekistan was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muzaffar Madrakhimov, while the Norwegian side was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eivind Vad Petersson.
During the consultations, the parties reviewed matters concerning the further development of bilateral relations in political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, as well as other areas of mutual interest.
The participants in the talks paid special attention to the expansion of trade and investment cooperation. In particular, they discussed the organization of reciprocal visits by representatives of relevant ministries and the business circles of both countries.
The sides also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
Following the consultations, an agreement was reached to continue a regular political dialogue to further strengthen Uzbek-Norwegian cooperation.
