Uzbekneftegaz Reviews Drilling Projects in Ustyurt Region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A working group led by the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, Abdugani Sanginov, inspected the progress of geological exploration and drilling projects, as well as the development of gas extraction infrastructure at the facilities of the Ustyurt Gas Production Department.

During the trip, the delegation visited a pipe storage base under construction in Kungrad, which is designed to support the drilling program. It was noted that the facility holds key importance for the uninterrupted execution of large-scale drilling operations scheduled for the current year.

During the inspection, the sides reviewed the construction pace of the base and the organization of receiving, placing, storing, and accounting for pipes arriving from abroad. Following the review, Abdugani Sanginov instructed to accelerate construction, increase logistics efficiency, ensure proper pipe storage conditions, and implement a digital security system at the facility.

The working group also visited the site of well No. 5 at the Kyzylzhar field, where drilling operations are planned to be performed by the Chinese company XIBU. As reported, site preparation is fully complete, and the start of main operations is scheduled after the delivery of the necessary equipment.

In addition, the participants of the trip reviewed the geological prospects of well No. 1 at the Kyzylzhar field. Following the entry into the gas-bearing formation, instructions were given to conduct a detailed analysis of the possibility of applying sidetracking technology to increase gas inflow and to determine the most effective technical solutions.

Within the framework of the inspection, company representatives also familiarized themselves with the progress of drilling well No. 3 at the Shagirlik field. According to responsible specialists, operations are being executed in accordance with the approved schedule and are expected to be completed within the established timeframes.

Following the trip, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz instructed to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of construction and drilling works at all facilities, eliminate delays on individual projects, more actively implement modern technologies, and accelerate the commissioning of prospective wells to increase natural gas production volumes.
