Uzbekistan Expands Dried Fruit Exports to Indonesian Market

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A meeting with an Indonesian delegation led by the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, concluding with the signing of a memorandum for the purchase of Uzbek dried fruits by Indonesian companies.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment, and Tourism, Alisher Agzamkhodjaev, as well as the Advisor to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Alisher Shaykhov.

During the talks, the parties reviewed prospects for increasing mutual trade turnover, developing direct contacts between entrepreneurs, and implementing joint projects in agriculture, the food industry, logistics, and investments.

The participants of the meeting paid special attention to expanding interaction between the business circles of the two countries. In particular, they discussed the organization of regular business missions, holding B2B meetings, more effectively utilizing export potential, and developing practical cooperation between representatives of the private sector.

The practical result of the negotiations was the signing of a memorandum between Uzbek and Indonesian companies for the supply of dried fruits. The agreement is expected to create additional opportunities for promoting the products of Uzbek producers in the Indonesian market.

Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their intention to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, implement joint investment projects, and expand partnerships between the business communities of the two countries.
