Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Visit Georgia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Georgia on 2–3 July 2026 at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

In Tbilisi, the head of state will hold talks with the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

Primary attention will be focused on further strengthening the friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia and developing multifaceted cooperation.

The agenda of the negotiations includes topics on expanding political dialogue, developing interparliamentary and interregional ties, increasing trade and economic interaction, and intensifying cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The parties also plan to discuss the promotion of joint projects in industry, pharmaceuticals, the chemical industry, agriculture, tourism, energy, and information technology.

The development of cooperation in the transport and logistics sector and the creation of additional opportunities to expand the geography of Uzbek product exports are designated among the priority areas.

In addition, the leaders will exchange views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.

Following the summit, the signing of a package of bilateral documents covering various areas of Uzbek-Georgian cooperation is planned.
