Uzbekistan and ICESCO discuss joint Action Plan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 June 2026, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev held an official meeting with Director-General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) Salim bin Muhammad al-Malik.

The parties focused on deepening multifaceted humanitarian dialogue.

During the conversation, the diplomats reviewed in detail the practical aspects of further developing constructive interaction and strengthening mutually beneficial ties with the international organization. The specific areas of cooperation cover fields such as science, culture, education, and the tourism sector.

The participants in the talks paid special attention to the mechanisms for implementing the joint Action Plan.

This document regulates the priority areas for expanding the partnership between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and ICESCO, and establishes the regulatory framework for launching promising joint projects in the short term.
