Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbek-Korean Cooperation Forum on Public Administration took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Tashkent.
The large-scale event was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, and the Minister of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea, Yoon Ho-young. The bilateral meeting brought together leaders of key government bodies, representatives of expert circles, and international organizations of the two countries on a single platform to develop unified approaches to technological modernization.
The forum established itself as a strategic platform for the transfer of advanced experience in reforming government institutions, accelerated digital transformation, and human capital development.
The participants stated that in recent years, interstate cooperation between Tashkent and Seoul has demonstrated high dynamics, especially in the segments of building electronic government and introducing innovative approaches into administrative processes.
During the panel discussions, the parties paid special attention to the practical aspects of integrating artificial intelligence algorithms into the public sector.
The delegates discussed in detail the possibilities of using modern digital tools for predicting and eliminating the consequences of emergencies and natural disasters, and also touched upon the topic of systematically improving the qualifications of civil servants.
The interdepartmental dialogue program also covered long-term prospects for expanding interaction in related high-tech industries. The attention of the ministers focused on issues of ensuring cybersecurity, scaling IT outsourcing, and introducing specialized platforms for digital education.
Following the forum, the Uzbek and Korean sides officially confirmed their readiness for the practical launch and joint financing of long-term projects in the field of digital government.
