Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Mining and Geology Bobir Islamov held a meeting on 3 October with a delegation from Turkish company Nakkaş Holding led by its CEO M. Islamoglu.

The sides discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and the implementation of joint investment projects in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sectors.

During the talks, particular attention was paid to the potential participation of Nakkaş Holding in geological exploration at prospective sites.

The sides also discussed expanding the country’s mineral resource base and establishing modern processing facilities.

Another area of the talks was the company’s potential involvement in processing technogenic waste and waste dumps.

The sides identified these areas as potential avenues for further cooperation in Uzbekistan’s mining industry and geological sector.
