Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Austria are exploring opportunities to expand cooperation in agriculture, including professional training for specialists and the exchange of experience.

The issues were discussed at a meeting between Nurriddin Kushnazarov, an adviser to Uzbekistan's agriculture minister, and Hermann Wieser, a representative of an Austrian agricultural cluster.

During the talks, the Uzbek side presented the country's agricultural potential and outlined efforts to modernise the sector, introduce modern technologies and expand international ties.

The participants discussed prospects for mutually beneficial partnerships, the adoption of international practices and attracting investment into agriculture.

Particular attention was given to a proposal to establish training centres for young specialists in livestock farming. Such centres could help develop practical skills and improve professional qualifications.

The sides also discussed workforce training for the agricultural sector, integrating modern education with practical instruction, and implementing potential joint projects.

Following the meeting, the participants highlighted the need to further explore cooperation opportunities in the areas discussed and gradually strengthen bilateral ties.
