Uzbekistan advances to last 16 of FIFA U-20 World Cup

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan have booked a place in the FIFA U-20 World Cup last 16 in New Zealand after a 3-0 win over Fiji on Sunday.

Eldor Shomurodov opened the score on 62nd minute of the match, while Zabikhillo Urinboev doubled the lead of Uzbekistan a minute later.

Mirjamol Kosimov netted the third goal of the game on 90 minutes. Germany defeated Honduras with the score 5-1 in other match of Group F.

Germany topped the Group F with nine points. Uzbekistan claimed the second place with 3 points. Both teams qualified to last 16.

Uzbekistan will face Austria in the next round, which clinched the second place in Group B. The match will take place on 11 June.
