Uzbekhydroenergo and AKA Bank Discuss Project Financing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Management of joint-stock company Uzbekhydroenergo held a meeting with representatives of the German export credit bank AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft mbH (AKA Bank) within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the negotiations, the Uzbek side presented its investment program for the development of the country's hydropower industry. The main directions for project implementation and priorities for the further development of the sector were outlined.

The meeting participants paid special attention to projects in the field of environmentally sustainable green energy, including plans for the construction of small and medium-sized hydroelectric power plants. The company's focus on attracting long-term and competitive financing with the participation of international financial institutions and commercial banks was emphasized.

Representatives of AKA Bank spoke about their experience working with export credit agencies, as well as supporting the supply of high-tech equipment from Germany and other countries and financing projects in the energy sector. They expressed interest in participating in future projects of Uzbekhydroenergo.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to develop cooperation in financing investment projects, maintain a regular dialogue on promising areas, and strengthen partnership relations.
