Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek delegation held a series of business meetings in the Sultanate of Oman, where the sides discussed the development of cooperation in geology, mining, geological exploration and investment attraction.

Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Rustam Yusupov met with representatives of Omani company Minerals Development Oman (MDO).

The sides considered opportunities for cooperation in organising geological exploration at promising sites, as well as developing deposits of precious minerals.

Separate talks were held with Tasnim Group. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in critical minerals, joint geological exploration at promising sites in Uzbekistan and the implementation of new investment projects.

During the visit, representatives of the Uzbek side also held meetings with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, as well as the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.

In addition, talks were held with representatives of Omani companies Nine Business Company LLC, Oman Trade Establishment, OQ, Al Zubair Corporation LLC and Asyad Group.

During the meetings, the sides emphasised the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in the mining industry and geology. Particular attention was paid to continuing practical cooperation to attract modern technologies and investment in the relevant areas.

Following the talks, the sides agreed to continue cooperation in promising areas of mutual interest.
