Uzbek Govn’t amends retail trade rules

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Government of Uzbekistan with its resolution introduced changes to rules of retail trade in connection with introduction of the system of mandatory energy marking and certification of realized home appliances.

According to the amendments, it is banned to realize or store home appliances, listed in the presidential resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures on introduction of the system on mandatory energy marking and certification of realized home appliances, newly constructed buildings and establishments” from 9 April 2015, which have no information of energy efficiency in technical documentation and labels.

The resolution comes into force from 1 January 2016 for imported home appliances and from 1 July 2016 – to realized home appliances in Uzbekistan, except used products.
