Ferghana and Minsk Regions Expand Investment Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Deputy Hokim of the Ferghana Region Nuriddin Mamajonov met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, Vasily Sysoev, during a working visit to Belarus.

During the talks, the sides discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic, investment, and agro-industrial cooperation between the Ferghana and Minsk regions.

Particular attention was paid to the development of joint projects in agriculture. Specifically, the participants of the meeting reviewed opportunities for implementing investment projects in the Minsk Region in the areas of livestock breeding and potato cultivation, as well as establishing a modern facility for deep flax processing in the Ferghana Region.

Following the negotiations, the parties reached preliminary agreements on beginning the practical implementation of joint initiatives and preparing concrete investment projects.

The development of interregional cooperation is expected to strengthen economic ties between Uzbekistan and Belarus, expand investment interaction, and create new opportunities for implementing joint projects in the agro-industrial complex.
