Uzbek envoy hands over credentials to EC President

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipatentuary of Uzbekistan to Belgium Vladimir Norov handed over credentials to the European Council President Herman Van Rompuy on 15 January 2014.

After the ceremony, Uzbek envoy and EC President discussed current state and perspectives of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and European Union in political and trade-economic spheres, Jahon news agency reported.

The sides underlined that there is potential for further deepening and expanding mutual beneficial cooperation, boosting political and economic contacts, developing cultural relations and tourism.
