Umar Turdiev becomes acting chairperson of State Demonopolization Committee

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov has appointed head of the State Committee on Demonopolization and Development of Competition.

According to the government portal Gov.uz, Umar Turdiev has been appointed as acting chairperson of the State Demonopolization Committee.

Prior to appointment, Umar Turdiev had worked as first deputy chairperson of the State Demonopolization Committee since April 2010.

Earlier, he worked as deputy chairperson of the State Demonopolization Committee, head of Bukhara regional department of the State Demonopolization Committee.

Turdiev worked in various state bodies, including in Bukhara regional administration and the Office of the President of Uzbekistan.
