Turkic tourism in focus at Ankara congress talks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 15–16 April, an international congress titled “Redesigning the Future of Tourism in Turkic States: From Local Roots to Global Reach, Positivity and Smart Transformation” was held in Ankara.
The event brought together senior officials from профиль ministries and agencies of member states of the Organization of Turkic States responsible for tourism development. The Committee for Tourism of Uzbekistan took an active part in the congress.
Participants also included representatives from Hungary, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Northern Cyprus, as well as the Secretary General of the organization, Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
During the session “The Future of Tourism in Turkic States,” participants presented reports and put forward a number of initiatives aimed at developing the sector, introducing innovative approaches and expanding the tourism potential of the region.
The congress was noted as an important step in strengthening partnership among participating countries, including enhancing cooperation with Türkiye, as well as facilitating the exchange of experience and best practices in the tourism sector.
