Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – As part of the "Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in Russia" and with the aim of promoting the country’s tourism potential and increasing tourist inflow, a "Road Show" was held in Vladivostok.
The event, organized by the Committee for Tourism with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, featured a delegation from Uzbekistan led by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism, Jamshid Abdusalomov.
"Our Committee has set a goal this year to increase the number of Russian tourists to 1 million. To achieve this, necessary infrastructures and various flight connections are being established. Currently, there are about 300 flights weekly between cities in Russia. There is mutual interest among the citizens of both countries, and I believe that with the support of the leadership of the Primorsky Krai, we will provide all necessary assistance to tour companies and businesses working in this direction to facilitate agreements, develop cooperation, and move forward," said Jamshid Abdusalomov.
The event included presentations showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, reforms in the tourism sector implemented in recent years, and new tourism destinations.
B2B and B2G meetings were organized for representatives of the tourism sectors of Uzbekistan and Russia to exchange experiences and establish new business contacts, resulting in bilateral agreements.
Participants of the "Road Show" were also treated to a presentation on Uzbek gastronomic tourism with tastings of traditional Uzbek cuisine, accompanied by a concert program featuring a national music ensemble.
