Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Trading House of Uzbekistan opened in Ivanovo as part of expanding cooperation and trade between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
According to the Dunyo agency, the trading house was opened on the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Botirjon Asadov, members of the government of Ivanovo region, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as representatives of large businesses in the region.
The Trading House will present and sell high-quality and competitive products from a wide range of Uzbek industries labeled “Made in Uzbekistan”.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan at the opening ceremony noted that the support of this project from the governments of both countries indicates a joint goal - creating conditions for sustainable economic growth, diversification of the export-import market of both countries, as well as expanding business opportunities for entrepreneurs and manufacturers from Uzbekistan and Russia.
Head of the Ivanovo Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry Leonid Ivanov noted that the Russian market has always shown interest in importing food products, textiles, handicrafts and ceramics from Uzbekistan, and the opening of the Trading House in Ivanovo will be a new stage in the development of bilateral cooperation.
