The number of sheep and goats reaches 23.9 million heads in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, as of 1 October 2023, the number of sheep and goats in all categories of farms in Uzbekistan reached 23.9 million heads and increased by 2.3%, compared with the corresponding period 2022.

Analyzes by category of farms show that 78.5% of the total number of sheep and goats are owned by dehkan and subsidiary farms, 15.0% by farms, 6.5% by organizations engaged in agricultural activities.
