TBC Bank Reports 185% Rise in First-Half Net Profit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — TBC Bank reported net profit of 288.1 billion soums for the first half of 2026, up 185.1% from the same period a year earlier. The bank's total income increased by 19.4% to 3 trillion soums.
At the same time, the bank's profit for the last 12 months declined by 34.8% to 187.6 billion soums. The decrease was attributed to a weak financial result at the end of 2025, when the bank posted a profit of 628.1 million soums, compared with 341.1 billion soums a year earlier.
Expenses for provisions for expected credit losses increased by 40.1% in January-June to 643.9 billion soums. For comparison, the figure reached nearly 1.3 trillion soums for the whole of 2025.
As of 1 June 2026, TBC Bank's loan portfolio stood at 8.5 trillion soums, down 16.5% from a year earlier.
At the same time, the share of non-performing loans (NPLs) increased from 3.7% a year earlier to 10.4% as of the beginning of June 2026.
The bank's assets totaled 13.8 trillion soums as of the reporting date, down 1.3% from the same period last year. Shareholders' equity increased by 16.4% to 3 trillion soums.
