Tashkent region’s GRP increases by 8.4% in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Growth of the Gross Regional Product (GRP) of Tashkent region made up 8.4% year-on-year in the first half of 2010.

Industrial output in the region rose by 8.6%, production of consumer goods – by 12.8%, construction works – 12%, retail trade turnover – 11.2%, paid services – 14.2%.

In the reporting period, the commercial banks allocated 98.2 billion soums to small businesses of the region.
