Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A festival dedicated to wine tourism and Uzbekistan’s national cuisine will be held on 14–15 October at the Khodjaipok sanatorium in Altynsay district of Surkhandarya region.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn about the region’s grape-growing and winemaking traditions, national gastronomic heritage, local products and crafts.
Particular attention will be given to the tourism potential of Surkhandarya region.
The festival program will include a gastronomic exhibition and tastings, presentations on the development of wine tourism, and a national cultural and creative program. Meetings with representatives of the tourism industry, entrepreneurs and partners are also planned.
Organizers expect the festival to help promote local gastronomic products and tourism services, raise awareness of the region’s wine tourism opportunities and develop new partnerships.
Special media activities will be organized for bloggers, content creators and media representatives attending the event.
The activities will focus on showcasing the tourism opportunities of Surkhandarya region.
The festival will also provide a platform for presenting local products and services to a wider audience and promoting the region’s gastronomic heritage, grape-growing traditions and tourism destinations.
