Some 109 enterprises with foreign capital registered in Uzbekistan in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- About 109 enterprises with foreign capital were registered in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2016, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

About 78 of them were registered in Tashkent city, 9 – in Tashkent region, and 4 in Samarkand and Syrdarya regions each.

Russian residents created 21 enterprises, Chinese – 20, Korean – 10, Kazakh – 9, British – 8, Turkish – 7 and Indian – 5.

The committee said that 51 enterprises were created in industry, 19 – in trade, 7 – accommodation and food services, 6 – construction, 3 – agriculture, forestry and fishing.

As of 1 April 2016, total number of enterprises with participation of foreign capital made up 4,900.
