Smartphones for 38m soums seized at postal customs post

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Officers of customs post Glavpochtamt (Main Postal Office) of Tashkent department of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan seized 33 smartphones for about 38 million soums.

State Customs Committee said that the customs officers seized five types of smartphones for 30 million worth about million on 31 January 2013.

Mobile phones have been sent from the United States to citizens of Tashkent city, the press service of the committee said.

The employees of the customs committee detained another parcel with 8 smartphones of three types for 8 million soums. The smartphones were sent to citizen of Almazar district of Tashkent city A. Muhamendjanov.

Currently, the investigations are underway on these cases.
