Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Shukhrat Kayumov has been appointed as the Rector of the state university Cyber University in line with the resolution issued by the Government of Uzbekistan.

Shukhrat Kayumov is a graduate of Tashkent State Technical University and Tashkent State University of Economics. He has also pursued studies at leading universities in Germany and Japan.

Cyber University was established by a presidential resolution on 20 January 2025.

The university’s primary mission is to train highly qualified specialists in key areas such as information and cybersecurity, digital technologies, the digital economy, robotics, and the development of automated information-analytical systems incorporating artificial intelligence.

Special emphasis will be placed on retraining and professional development for specialists in the field of digital technologies.
