Shopping Arcade Fire Extinguished in Uzbekistan's Asaka

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A fire broke out in a shopping arcade in the Asaka district of the Andijan region. The blaze was promptly extinguished and no casualties were reported, according to the regional Emergency Situations Department.

According to the department, a report of a fire at a commercial facility on Margiloniy Street was received through the 112 emergency call system on 16 July 2026 at 23:43.

Fire and rescue units arrived at the scene five minutes later, at 23:48. They managed to completely extinguish the fire on 17 July 2026 at 00:10.

The fire damaged the ceiling and roof of the shopping arcade over an area of 60 square meters, as well as clothing and other goods inside.

Specialists are currently establishing the cause of the fire and the extent of the material damage.
