Tashkent traffic police penalize BMW driver over viral video

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Tashkent Traffic Safety Department has brought a BMW driver to administrative liability following an investigation into a video recording that circulated on social media.

According to the department, an administrative protocol was drawn up against the driver for violating traffic regulations. The offender's vehicle has been placed in an impound lot pending a corresponding procedural decision.

The department emphasized that compliance with traffic regulations is the duty of every road user, and any actions that pose a threat to the safety of others entail liability in accordance with the law.

The driver admitted to making a mistake. He stated that he had attempted to rectify the situation by stopping to explain himself to another road user, but his actions resulted in an obstruction. Following this, both parties moved their vehicles to the side of the road and spoke.

"I regret my action. This will not happen again in the future," the driver stated.

The individual who published the video recording reported that the BMW driver attempted to perform a U-turn three times, nearly creating an accident situation.

According to the author, a verbal dispute arose between them after a remark was made, which led to the video being posted on social media.

The author also thanked the internal affairs personnel for their prompt response, noting that they contacted him the following morning after the video was published and took the necessary measures.

In conclusion, internal affairs officials urged drivers once again to observe driving etiquette and strictly comply with the requirements of traffic regulations.
