Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis reviewed changes to the membership of the country’s Constitutional and Supreme courts at its 19th plenary session.
Under a Senate resolution, Gairat Mashkurov was elected as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a 10-year term.
The Senate also considered changes to the composition of the Supreme Court. Galim Abdukholikov, Janat Aimagambetova and Karomatjon Davletova were elected as Supreme Court judges for 10-year terms.
At the same time, a number of Supreme Court judges were relieved of their positions. D. Dzhuraev, D. Karimov and N. Zhavliyev left their judicial positions due to taking up other jobs.
A. Abdikarimov, O. Arabov, N. Mirzaalimov, S. Toganov and O. Turdiev were relieved of their positions as Supreme Court judges at their own request.
In addition, K. H. Davletova was relieved of her position as a judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
