SCO RATS chief meets Uzbek Interior Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Director of Executive Committee of the Regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS) of Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Sinfen has been received at the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan on 17 January 2013.

Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan lieutenant-general Bakhodir Matlyubov received Zhang Sinfen. At the meeting, the sides considered issues related to fighting transit of drugs from Afghanistan, terrorism and extremism.

The sides discussed issues of cooperation in training cadres and exchange of information between Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Public Security of China, as well as other issues.

Zhang Sinfen expressed gratitude for warm welcome and expressed his assurance that cooperation within the SCO will continue.
