Samarkand lift-constructing plant to export products

UzA reported that Russia’s Peresvet-Invest will invest US$7 million to equip Samarkand-based plant.

Abdulla Karimov, director-general of Samarkand lift-constructing plant, said the plant received over US$2.5 million of investments in 2007. The capacities of the plant are reconstructed now. The plan plans to produce 300 lifts this year and 750 lifts next year.

The report said the plant will produce three types of passenger lifts and seven types of cargo lifts.
