Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva has called for urban planning and environmental challenges to be taken into account in the further development of Tashkent. She made the remarks in a post on her Telegram channel.

According to her, the capital is growing rapidly, requiring a more careful approach to planning its future. In this context, a meeting was held with initiators of major architectural projects, independent specialists and urban planners, as well as representatives of relevant studios and universities.

One of the key issues discussed was the pressure on the city’s infrastructure. Participants considered the condition of engineering networks and social facilities, as well as energy and water supply.

“New construction should develop the city rather than create additional imbalance and overload its systems,” Saida Mirziyoyeva said.

She stressed that a wide range of issues related to the capital’s further development still needs to be addressed. At the same time, the state intends to support businesses seeking to make Tashkent more comfortable, attractive, clean and safe for residents and visitors.

According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, such support is in line with the policy of New Uzbekistan and represents a direct task set by the President.
