Rustam Assakalov defeated in quarterfinals at Paris 2024 Olympics

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) – Uzbek Greco-Roman wrestler Rustam Assakalov faced a tough opponent, Arтур Aleksanyan, the Rio 2016 Olympic champion and four-time World Champion, in the quarterfinals.

Unfortunately, Assakalov was defeated in a hard-fought match.

Should Aleksanyan advance to the finals, Assakalov will retain the chance to compete for a bronze medal.
