Russian aircraft vendor eyes deal to supply Il-114 jets to Venezuela

Russian aircraft vendor AviaBalt plans to sign a contract to supply a large number of Il-114 jets to Venezuela, the company said Tuesday.

No timelines were provided, Prime-Tass reported.

Last year AviaBalt signed a contract to buy 30 Il-114 jets from Uzbekistan’s Tashkent Aircraft Manufacturing Company.

AviaBalt is a subsidiary of Russian engineering company Tekhnospetsstal-Engineering, which is in turn controlled by its Chief Executive Vitaly Kislichenko.
