Rivaldo renews deal with Bunyodkor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Brazilian Rivaldo has renewed his contract with Uzbek champions Bunyodkor for three more years, announced the club Wednesday.

The new deal ties the 2002 World Cup winner to the Central Asian club until 2011.

Rivaldo inked a one-year deal in August and since then has played in 15 matches for Bunyodkor, including the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the AFC Champions League, scoring nine goals.

The Brazilian played a key role in the club’s Uzbekistan Cup and Uzbekistan League title triumphs, their first time ever in both competitions.
