Uzbek Referees Appointed for FIFA 2026 Match

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A refereeing team from Uzbekistan has received its first appointment at the FIFA World Cup 2026 and will officiate a group stage match between Scotland and Morocco, according to the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association.

Ilgiz Tantashev has been appointed as the main referee. He will be assisted on the lines by Andrey Tsapenko and Timur Gainullin. The match is scheduled for 20 June at 03:00 Tashkent time.

The Scotland–Morocco fixture will be the first match of the tournament to be officiated by an Uzbek refereeing team.
