Private Tashkent Kindergarten Faces Closure Over Abuse Case
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The license of the Rayyan Kids Land private kindergarten in Tashkent may be revoked following the discovery of a case of physical and psychological abuse against a child, as well as six other gross violations. The Tashkent City Department of Preschool and School Education announced the development.
According to the department, the incident occurred on 24 June 2026, when a teacher subjected a child to physical and psychological violence. In connection with the case, the department filed a petition with the Tashkent Interregional Economic Court to revoke the preschool institution's license.
Video recordings depicting the mistreatment of children at the kindergarten had previously circulated on social media. During an investigation, law enforcement authorities established that a 36-year-old teacher had systematically used physical force against the children.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the nature and severity of the bodily injuries sustained by the children.
