Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan hold talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov held a meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat on 12 December 2015.

Uzbek leader visited Turkmenistan to attend an international conference “Policy of neutrality: international cooperation for peace, security and development”.

During the talks, the sides considered some aspects of regional and international policy of mutual interest, including peace and security in Central Asia.

The sides considered key aspects of the Uzbek-Turkmen partnership and its diversification. The sides noted mutual interest in further deepening productive ties in political, economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres.

Two President confirmed readiness of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to boost relations and wished progress and prosperity to people of two nations.
