President visits new mosque Minor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov paid a visit to new mosque Minor, which is located in Minor neighborhood in Tashkent, on 1 October 2014.

Uzbek leader Islam Karimov examined the complex of the mosque and highly rated works of the masters, who participated in its construction. The prayers from Quran were read.

As earlier reported, the mosque can accept over 2,400 people. It is one of the largest mosques in the capital of Uzbekistan.

Construction of mosque was financed due to resources of the state budget and Muslims Board of Uzbekistan.
