President ratifies the agreement between Uzbekistan and Iran on the transfer of convicted persons

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a law on ratification of the agreement between Uzbekistan and Iran on the transfer of convicted persons.

This document establishes the legal framework so that citizens of Uzbekistan and Iran convicted of crimes can serve their sentences in their country.

The agreement was signed on 18 June 2023 during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Iran.
