Uzbekistan Expands EU Employment for Medical Workers

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Agency for External Labor Migration of Uzbekistan has begun implementing a trilateral project with the Swiss recruiting company Globogate and the Czech medical group Penta Hospitals International. The initiative provides for the training and subsequent employment of Uzbek medical specialists in countries of the European Union.

The project involves establishing a system in Uzbekistan to prepare doctors and nursing staff for future employment in medical institutions within the Penta Hospitals International network.

Penta Hospitals International is one of the largest private healthcare networks in Central Europe. The company operates more than 150 hospitals and approximately 100 patient care facilities, employing around 25,000 staff. The network also recently opened a high-tech hospital in Bratislava designed for 1,400 employees.

According to the Migration Agency, cooperation with Globogate has already yielded practical results. Under an active program, around 600 nurses from Uzbekistan have been employed in Germany.

The new stage of cooperation provides for expanding the geographic scope of the project. In the first phase, the program will be implemented in Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland. In the future, the partners plan to extend the initiative to Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

The Migration Agency noted that the implementation of the project will expand opportunities for the legal employment of qualified medical workers from Uzbekistan in European Union countries and will contribute to the development of international cooperation in medical personnel training.
