President of Uzbekistan leaves for Azerbaijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov left for Azerbaijan on October 11 with an official visit at the invitation of President Ilham Aliev.

During talks at the highest level, the sides are expected to discuss the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and exchange views on pressing international and regional issues, UzA reported.

A joint declaration by the two heads of state as well as a number of other documents designed to further enhance the Uzbek-Azerbaijani cooperation across areas are to be signed toward the end of the official visit
