President: Inflation rate makes up 6.1% in 2014

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Level of inflation in Uzbekistan made up 6.1% in 2014, the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on 16 January.

Uzbek leader said that the inflation level made up 6.1% in 2014, which is significantly lower compared to the forecast.

He said that state budget was executed with 0.2% surplus to the GDP of the country in the reporting period.

At the same time, tax burden fell from 20.5% to 20%, while income tax was decreased from 9% to 8% in 2014.
