Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 1.2 MW is being built at the Mubarek Thermal Power Plant to be used for own needs, the Ministry of Energy reports.

Recently, the installation of solar panels began.

After commissioning, the plant will produce 2 million kWh of electricity per year.

As a result, 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas per year will be saved.
