Uzbek President and US Firms Discuss Investment Cooperation in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ahead of the fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with a delegation of leading United States companies.

The meeting was attended by President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of the United States John Jovanovic, Chief Executive Officer of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Ben Black, Chair of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lemm, as well as representatives of Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, BlackRock, FLS, Visa, JPMorgan, Meta, GULF and other companies.

The President said the meeting continued a long-standing tradition and reflected growing interest from American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.

He noted that the economic agenda remains one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.

In this context, the President outlined key areas for further deepening trade and economic cooperation, including critical materials extraction and processing, energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and other sectors

Representatives of US companies expressed appreciation for the conditions created for investors in Uzbekistan and presented their proposals and plans for future cooperation.

At the conclusion of the roundtable, a ceremony was held to exchange bilateral documents with leading US companies.
