The date of the international folklore festival "Boysun Bahori" has been determined
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the information service of the Surkhandarya regional khokimiyat, the festival, during which centuries-old folk values and traditions are sung, our ethnographic art, will be held on 7-8 May in the picturesque village of Padang, Boysun district.
Currently, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Surkhandarya regional khokimiyat and other partner organizations are actively preparing for the high-level folklore festival.
At the festival, which will be held in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to organize and conduct the international folklore festival “Boysun Bahori”, over 200 representatives of folklore groups of our country will demonstrate ancient songs, music and costumes characteristic of their regions. In addition, it is expected that masters of folklore art and specialists from a number of foreign countries will take part in this authoritative festival.
As part of the colorful event, which will take place in a picturesque mountain village, competitions in national kurash, ethnosport, kupkari, kite flying, tug of war, chillak and other folk games will be held.
At the end of the festival, participants who have become winners in various categories will be awarded.
