Uzbek President approves an agreement on cooperation in the field of promoting employment of the CIS population
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan, by his resolution, approved an agreement on cooperation in promoting employment of the population of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The document was signed on 28 May 2021 in Minsk (Belarus) at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS member states.
The President designated the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations as the competent authority responsible for the implementation of the international treaty.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to send the depository a corresponding notification on the implementation by the Republic of Uzbekistan of the internal state procedures necessary for the entry into force of this international treaty, as well as on the competent body responsible for its implementation.
The document is the first multilateral agreement of the CIS countries in the field of employment. The main purpose of the document is to create the necessary conditions for the formation of a common labor market.
The CIS countries intend to introduce a system of organized recruitment and attraction of personnel, as well as expand employment opportunities for young people, citizens of pre-retirement age and people with disabilities.
National employment promotion portals will also be created and short-term training programs that are in line with international standards will be developed.
