Winners of Olympic Games in Tokyo to be rewarded with a cash prize

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures to ensure the participation of the sports delegation of Uzbekistan in the XXXII Summer Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) in 2021 and the further development of Olympic sports.”

The resolution approved the composition of the sports delegation of Uzbekistan to participate in the XXXII Summer Olympic and XVI Paralympic Games in Tokyo (Japan) in 2021.

Athletes of Uzbekistan who become winners and prize-winners of the Games will be rewarded with a one-time cash prize in the amount of:

for a gold medal - US$200,000; 

for a silver medal - US$100,000

for a bronze medal - US$50,000.

These expenses are covered by the state budget.
