Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan secured two victories in the tennis tournament at the Asian Games. Sergey Fomin won his second-round match in the men’s singles, while Sevil Yuldasheva and Maksim Shin advanced to the next round in mixed doubles.

In the second round of the men’s singles tournament, Fomin faced Tajikistan’s Somon Amonov. The Uzbek tennis player secured a convincing 6-1, 6-1 victory.

In the mixed doubles competition, Yuldasheva and Shin faced Hong Kong representatives Wong Hong Yi and Wong Tsz Fu in the first round.

The Uzbek pair won 7-6(5), 0-6, 11-9 to advance to the next round of the tournament.
