The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan holds a meeting with the leadership of the Japan Association of Travel Agents
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held a meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the Japan Association of Travel Agencies (JATA), Chairman of the Outbound Tourism Council Jungo Kikuma.
During the meeting, the Japanese side was informed that at present, as a result of targeted efforts, the epidemiological situation in Uzbekistan has been significantly stabilized, a set of measures has been introduced to ensure safe tourism “Uzbekistan. Self travel guaranteed”, international air communication with some foreign countries has been resumed, and benefits are provided for local and foreign companies when organizing tours to Uzbekistan.
Issues of enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism, as well as the possibility of resuming the tourist flow from Japan to Uzbekistan this year were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the joint study of the possibility of organizing a visit to Uzbekistan by a JATA delegation consisting of representatives of Japanese travel companies in the coming months in order to familiarize themselves with the situation in the republic regarding the reception of foreign tourists.
