Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Moscow is preparing to match last year’s record for the Meet Global MICE Congress (MGMC), which attracted more than 2,500 professionals from 37 countries in 2025.
The fourth edition of MGMC will take place on 16–17 December 2026 at the congress centre of the World Trade Center Moscow. It will bring together key participants in the international MICE industry, including business event organisers, MICE service providers, corporate clients, government tourism agencies, industry associations and leading experts from BRICS countries and the Global South.
Opportunities for delegates from Uzbekistan
For delegates from Uzbekistan, MGMC 2026 offers a channel for finding new partners in emerging international markets, establishing business contacts and showcasing the country’s MICE potential.
In 2025, Uzbek companies Sanat Travel Experts DMC, Inter MICE Asia and Silk Road Samarkand were among more than 130 exhibitors representing leading MICE destinations.
The exhibition showcased Uzbekistan’s modern MICE infrastructure, logistical accessibility and service standards. A large-scale exhibition will be organised again this year, giving Uzbek MICE operators, hotel brands, industry associations and transport companies an opportunity to present their services and capabilities.
Hosted Buyers programme
The Hosted Buyers programme is a key feature of the event, with more than 200 professional buyers expected from the Commonwealth of Independent States, China, India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Africa.
Participation will allow representatives from Uzbekistan to connect with leading MICE suppliers and assess Moscow’s potential as one of the world’s leading MICE destinations.
Around 70% of congress participants are senior executives and decision-makers, giving the business meeting format strong potential for contract awards and rapid deal-making. More than 8,000 B2B meetings were held at MGMC last year.
Business programme
MGMC 2026 will feature a practical, business-oriented programme focused on real-world case studies and interactive formats.
The emphasis will be on practical tools for industry participants, from strategy development to applied solutions that turn ideas into measurable financial results.
Delegates will discuss entering new markets, attracting investment, business support measures and digital transformation, including the adoption of artificial intelligence.
Dedicated sessions will explore how to build strong destination brands rooted in regional cultural identity, as well as the specific challenges and opportunities of operating in BRICS and Global South markets.
The economic programme will cover profitability management, preventing cash-flow gaps and identifying unconventional revenue sources.
Particular attention will be paid to the evolution of business models, including the shift from selling “person-hours” to delivering measurable value to clients. Industry leaders who have sustained high growth rates and scaled their businesses will share their experiences.
MGMC continues to strengthen its position as a professional platform for discussing industry trends and building partnerships, setting new benchmarks for the international MICE sector.
“ For specialists from Uzbekistan, MGMC is an opportunity to expand their business networks geographically, showcase their expertise, see how the global MICE industry is developing and discover Moscow as a modern MICE destination.
“For us, the participation of colleagues from Uzbekistan is an opportunity not only to share Moscow’s experience but also to learn from best practices, explore new areas of cooperation and develop professional dialogue,” said Anastasia Popova, First Deputy Director General for Business Tourism Development at Mosturizm, the Moscow Tourism and Hospitality Development Project Office.
